Green City Walks in London
Londoners and visitors alike have the chance to take advantage of free guided walks of the city courtesy of a company called Green City Walks which offers three different walks to choose from on separate weekdays.
The first walk is called Old London Bridge and takes place each Tuesday looking at the importance of the Old London Bridge to life in the city. It starts at 1.30pm and lasts around 2 hours, just meet at the Giant Sundial above Tower Hill Tube station and you’re good to go.
The second walk is London’s Royal Parks which lasts 2-3 hours and happens every Wednesday at 1.30pm. Meet up near the ticket office at St. James’s Park Underground station and get a guided tour of central London parks including St.James’s Park, Green Park, Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens.
The third and latest walk is Londinium which gives a tour of London’s Roman remains. Its on every Thursday at 1.30pm and again you just have to be at Tower Hill Tube around where the large sundial is and join the walk party. Londinium lasts between 2.5-3 hours and finishes at Moorgate Tube station. If you have a free afternoon and would like parts of the city explained to you these sound like good walks to go on.
