Visit New York This Summer
To call yourself a citizen of the world, New York City must be visited at least once in your lifetime. Why not go this summer, when it’s green and gorgeous?
First thing to do: look for cheap flights to New York. If you plan to fly between mid-August to mid-September, roundtrip fares start at $609 US (on American Airlines).
New York is not exactly the cheapest city to visit, but it’s not that hard to find cheap Manhattan hotels or cheap hotels in Brooklyn. Prices start at low as $42 US per night for 2-star lodgings.
Some of the city’s greatest summer pleasures are:

-taking a ferry to Ellis Island or the Statue of Liberty, or a Circle Line Cruise around the East River
