Outdoor dancing in London

alfresco.jpgOutdoor tango and ballroom dancing is something you might expect to see in somewhere like Buenos Aires, this July there’s a chance to see and try your hand at it in London. There are two events taking place in Regent’s Park this month, The Broadwark Ballroom on the 14th July and Tango Al Fresco on the 15th July, both organized by American dance choreographer Kele Baker who coached and choreographed the Argentine Tango on the hit BBC show Strictly Come Dancing.

The two events take place on the Broad Walk in the southeast corner of Regent’s Park, between Chester Road and the Outer Circle, not far from Regent’s Park and Great Portland Street Tubes. Both Broadwalk Ballroom and Tango Al Fresco start with beginners’ classes from 1pm-2pm and have general dancing from 2pm-6pm, tickets are £9. If you miss them this month or want to have another try Tango Al Fresco and The Broadwalk Ballroom have repeat classes on 11-12 August at the same place. Only if there’s very heavy rain will the events be cancelled.
